Cryptic Honeyeater
英文名：Cryptic Honeyeater（学名：Microptilotis imitatrix），是雀形目吸蜜鸟科的鸟类。近期分为两个物种： Microptilotis gracilis。 Microptilotis imitatrix。 14–16.5 厘米。小于 Lewin's 和 Yellow-spotted Honeyeater；嘴按比例更长、更纤细；耳斑乳白色呈圆形；眼蓝灰色；嘴角鲜橙黄色，具纤细的黄色嘴角纹；橄榄褐色较浅，颊／下体较灰，腹部具浅黄色中线；羽衣更柔顺，外轮廓更圆润。单只、成对：不显眼；在枝叶、花丛间取食；捕食飞虫。 Microptilotis gracilis。昆士兰东北部：自约克角向南至西海岸的爱德华河和东海岸的 Yarraden。留居。另见于巴布亚新几内亚南部、阿鲁群岛。 Microptilotis imitatrix。自北部的库克敦至东海岸的英厄姆–欣钦布鲁克岛；在阿瑟顿地区可分布至海拔 600 米以上。留居。另见于巴布亚新几内亚南部、阿鲁群岛。
Cryptic Honeyeater
Two species recently separated:
Microptilotis gracilis.
Microptilotis imitatrix.
14-16.5 cm. Smaller than Lewin's and Yellow-spotted Honeyeatres; bill proportionately longer, slimmer; rounded cream ear mark; eyes blue-grey; brighter yellow-orange gape with thin yellow gape streak; paler olive-brown, cheeks/underparts greyer with pale yellow midline on belly; plumage softer, contours rounder. Singles, pairs: unobtrusive; feeds among foliage, blossoms; takes flying insects.
Microptilotis gracilis. ne. Q: from C. York s. to Edward R. on w. coast and Yarraden on e. coast. Sedentary. Also s. PNG, Aru Is.
Microptilotis imitatrix. from Cooktown in the north to Ingham-Hinchinbrook I. on e. coast; to above 600 m in Atherton region. Sedentary. Also s. PNG, Aru Is.
- Voice
- sharp 'tuck', or 'pick'; differs from Lewin's, Yellow-spotted. Calls of birds from n. of Cooktown 'incredibly varied' (L. Nielsen).
- Habitat
- rainforest, vine-scrubs, eucalypt woodlands, coastal scrubs, stream-vegetation, lantana, orchards, gardens.
