Black-crowned Night Heron（学名：Nycticorax nycticorax），是鹈形目鹭科夜鹭属的鸟类。又名: 水洼子、灰洼子、苍鳽、星鳽、夜鹰（浙江）、夜鹤、夜游鹤（海南），常见的水鸟。头部、后颈、枕部和背部呈黑色，枕部有2-3根细长的白色冠羽，下体为白色，翅膀和尾羽为灰色。亚成鸟全身棕色，带有纵纹和点斑，与成鸟的羽色差异显著。
Black-crowned Night Heron
58 - 65 cm. Adult grey overall, black cap and back, white head plumes, yellow legs. Juvenile upperparts greyish-brown with buffish streaks, underparts greyish-white with brown streaks; similar to but less rufous than juvenile Rufous Night-Heron.

- Wetlands, mangroves and crops.
- Range & Status
- Eurasia, Africa and the Americas. Very rare vagrant to Australia territory with records from Cocos (Keeling) Is and Ashmore Reef.
