Northern Shoveler (Spatula clypeata) 琵嘴鸭，是雁形目鸭科匙嘴鸭属的鸟类。又名: 琵琶嘴鸭、铲土鸭、杯凿、广味凫，比绿头鸭略小。其最显著特征是拥有巨大的勺形喙。雄鸟繁殖期头部呈现深绿色，胸部白色，两侧和腹部为栗色。雌鸟整体呈黄褐色，翼上覆羽蓝灰色。分布于北美洲北部、欧亚大陆北部，冬季迁徙至南欧、印度次大陆、东南亚、中美洲、加勒比海、南美洲北部等地。
Northern Shoveler
46-55 cm. Widespread in n. hemisphere; migrates during northern winter to Africa, Borneo, Philippines. Like Australasian Shoveler, but male has white breast and sides of back. Female and male in eclipse similar to Australasian in equivalent plumages, but paler, with whitish outer tail feathers. In female, inner half of upper mandible and all its cutting edge is orange, as is most of lower mandible.
